Fuji Finepix F300 EXR Detailed Review
The Fuji Finepix F300 EXR inherits the unique EXR technology introduced in the F200 EXR and extends it with built-in Phase-Detection autofocus right on the imaging sensor for ultra-fast focusing speed in a compact digital camera. The EXR sensor is designed to capture high-resolution, low-noise or high-dynamic-range images, depending on one of its three operating modes. Unlike the 12 megapixels high-resolution mode, the enhanced modes capture 6 megapixels images with up to 800% more dynamic range than normal cameras can in a single exposure.
FujiFilm FinePix F300EXR Review / Steve's Conclusion
One of FujiFilm's latest EXR equipped models, the FinePix F300EXR is a sleek, yet powerful compact camera that boasts some serious features. These include a 12-megapixel EXR Super CCD image sensor, 15x Fujinon optical zoom lens (24 - 360mm equivalent range), a high-resolution 3.0-inch LCD screen, Intelligent Image stabilization, 720p HD video capture, and their new Hybrid High Speed Autofocus mode to name a few.

Fuji Finepix F300EXR Review
The Fuji Finepix F300EXR packs a lot of features into its small, compact body. On top of this I think the Finepix F300EXR sports some fairly stylish looks.
Main features include 12 megapixels and a 15x wide angle lens. This camera performed very well in my tests and has an impressive combination of picture quality and features. Some of the features available are hard to find with brands other than Fuji.

Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR: Versatile zoomer has a few bugs
The Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR is certainly one of the most versatile fixed-lens cameras on the market today, thanks to a 15X optical zoom lens (24mm to 360mm), some unique shooting modes that make the most of the unit's 12-megapixel Super CCD EXR sensor, and a one-touch panorama mode that lets you sweep the camera to create an instant 360-degree image.

Fujifilm Finepix F300EXR Digital Camera Review
Fujifilm has a long and distinguished reputation for producing well made and efficient compacts. The Fujifilm Finepix F300EXR continues that tradition and gives us a camera packed with features that would satisfy almost all photographic requirements.
The camera is aimed at both beginners and enthusiasts who want a solidly built quality compact with a large zoom range. Many cameras offer this versatility but do not always deliver the quality. It will be interesting to see if this Fujifilm compact can offer the optical quality to match its solid construction.

Fujifilm F300EXR
As the latest addition to Fujifilm's reputed F-series cameras, the F300EXR and its 15x zoom is clearly eyeing up heavyweight competitors such as the Panasonic TZ10, Canon SX210 and Sony HX5V. To stand out from the crowd, the F300EXR features a Super CCD sensor that we've already seen manage high sensitivities very well. The F300EXR also has a new phase-detection autofocus, as found in most SLRs. So has it been worth the wait?

Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR review
This camera's great zoom range, metal build and cracking LCD screen are occasionally let down by rather dull, listless images lacking in contrast. The Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR's noisy zoom and overly sensitive mic are also considerable pitfalls.

Can triple action CCD sensor and 15x zoom propel this compact to the top of its class?
The 12 megapixel, 1/2-inch triple action Super CCD EXR sporting F300EXR from Fujifilm is a handsome beast. Remarkably so, as it shoehorns a class leading 15x optical zoom into a chassis that will slip as easily into trouser pocket as handbag. Cloaked in serious looking matte black the F300EXR weighs a manageable 215g with optional SD or SDHC card plus battery inserted and has proportions of 103.5 x 59.2 x 32.6mm, or 22.9mm at its thinnest point. The lens is tucked away within its housing when not in use.

Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR Review
The Fujifilm Finepix F300EXR is a new 12 megapixel compact camera with a 24-360mm, 15x zoom lens. Featuring Fujifilm’s next generation EXR technology with hybrid high-speed autofocus, the F300 EXR switches between phase detection AF and contrast AF depending on subject and light levels, promising DSLR-like focusing speed. Other highlights of the successor to the F200EXR include an EXR sensor, improved image stabilisation system, high-resolution 3 inch LCD screen, 360° Motion Panoramas, and 720p HD movie.

While compact long-zoom cameras were once dominated by Panasonic's TZ-series a few years ago, the same cannot be said now. These days, almost every imaging brand has a point-and-shoot with more than 10x optical zoom in its stable. For Fujifilm, compact long-zooms belong to the flagship F-series. The company first launched the 10x optical zoom F70EXR last year, and followed up with the F80EXR earlier in February.
